Cauliflower Wings

WINGS! Ahhh, they are the perfect appetizer for game night and go so well with celery and carrots! But what happens, when you’re watching your meat intake, or just watching how much you consumer? You make these! Cauliflower wings. Now I will warn you they don’t have the meat texture that you get with a chicken wing, but the flavour is spot on!

Paired perfectly with your veggies and ranch/blue cheese dip. Or make this a meal and pair it with potato wedges. This is the perfect recipe for a healthier alternative for wings!

2 Servings / 15 mins Prep time / 45 mins Total time

Ingredients

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp garlic powder

1½ tsp dried parsley

½ tsp dry mustard power

½ tsp paprika

1 tsp old bay seasoning

¾ cup flour

¾ cup water

¾ of a head of cauliflower, cut into bites size pieces

Your favourite BBQ sauce

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 °F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large bowl add your flour and the rest of your dry ingredients. Give it a mix so your spices are evenly distributed.

Add the water and mix until you have a nice batter. If the batter is too thick add a tablespoon or two of water.

Dip each cauliflower into the batter and then place on the parchment lined baking sheet.

Bake for 15 minutes. Take the baking sheet out and apply the BBQ sauce on each “wing”.

Place back into the oven and bake for another 15 minutes.
