Do you ever get a craving for some spicy, saucy, ramen noodles? If yes, then you are in the right place. This recipe is quick, easy and only requires 6 ingredients. And when I say this is spicy, I mean a ‘numbing your mouth’ kind of spicy, just the way we like it. But be warned, if you do not like heat, do NOT make this recipe, but for those of you who love the spice this is perfect for you! Give it a try if you dare!
4 Servings / 10 minutes Prep Time / 30 minutes Total Time
Ingredients
2 packets of instant noodles (I prefer Mr. Noodles, without the sachet packet, but use what you like)
1 head of broccoli, cut into bite size pieces
1 lb of ground meat (ie; pork, beef, chicken)
Green onion, for garnish
Sesame seeds, for garnish
Sauce
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup of sambel olek
1/3 cup of soy sauce
Directions
In a pan on medium heat add your ground meat and cook until no longer pink, around 10 minutes. If there is any fat in the pan you can discard it.
When there is 5 minutes left of cooking the meat, bring a pot of water to a boil and add your broccoli and cook until almost fork tender.
When the broccoli turns vibrant and is almost fork tender, add your instant noodles. Cook noodles according to package instructions.
Add the sauce to the pan of meat and let it cook for a minute.
Drain your broccoli and noodles and add to pan with meat. Combine everything until well coated.
To serve, garnish with green onions and sesame seeds!
