Balsamic Peach Toasties

I am holding onto the last bit of summer every chance I get. With the last bit of peaches coming into the stores, try grilling your peaches. The peaches become more sweet when grilled. I like to grill the bread as well to get a nice crunch. Spread a generous amount of your favourite vegan cheese (I used the double cream from Zengarry) or goat cheese and drizzle with balsamic glaze, this becomes the ultimate appetizer. Appears fancy and looks like it took forever, but the flavours are all so balanced. Serve at your last bbq for the season, this is sure to become a hit!

6-8 servings/ 5 mins prep time / 15 mins total time

Ingredients

Zengarry fauxmage double cream or goat cheese

Balsamic glaze

Baguette, sliced

Peaches, halved

Directions

Preheat BBQ to medium low heat.

Place peaches on the bbq and grill for 3-4 minutes on each side. Allow peaches to cool before slicing.

Toast the baguette slices for 30-45 seconds per side.

To assemble, spread a generous amount of fauxmage/goat cheese to the baguette, then add sliced grilled peaches and top with balsamic glaze. Enjoy!
