Cranberry Brie Puff Pastry Bites

Festive, easy and eye-catching appetizer that will leave your guests wanting more! These easy brie bites only require 4 ingredients and everyone will be going crazy for them!

Brie cheese is tucked inside individually portioned golden, buttery puff pastry and topped with cranberry sauce and pecans to give you the ultimate holiday appetizer. Super quick to make and looks likes you spent all day making them! And in less than 20 minutes you have a stunning and delicious appetizer ready to serve.

A few notes on my end. Do I need to cut the rind off brie before baking in puff pastry? NO, the rind is totally edible and you wont even notice once it’s baked. If you want to remove the rind you can, but I find it wastes a lot of cheese. Don’t have brie cheese? You can use Camembert but I highly recommend brie for its smooth texture and I find it holds its shape a bit more. Don’t have cranberry sauce? Use a hot pepper jelly, I have done it with hot pepper jelly and it is absolutely fantastic.

Can you prep brie bites ahead of time? YES, complete steps all the way before baking and store in the fridge until you are ready to bake, for up to 3 days. You can serve these warm or at room temperature, but my favourite is warm. Truly a crowd pleaser, and a sure hit on your next holiday get together.

12 servings / 10 mins prep time / 30 mins total time

Ingredients

1 sheet of puff pastry

½ block of Brie cheese

¼ cup cranberry sauce

¼ cup pecan pieces

Directions

Preheat oven to 375°F and spray a muffin tin with nonstick spray. Unroll 1 sheet of puff pastry on a lightly floured work surface and roll out into a 10 x 14 inch rectangle. Cut into 12 pieces and press lightly into muffin tin to create a puff pastry cup.

Cut the brie in half, and with that half cut into 12 pieces. Place each piece of brie into each puff pastry cup. Top with a teaspoon or two or cranberry sauce and then chopped pecans.

Bake in oven for 18-20 minutes or until the pastry is puffed and the corners are golden brown.

Allow the bites to cool slightly and enjoy!
