Honey Glazed Carrots

These honey glazed carrots are a must for any occasion or gathering! It offers a rich sweet pairing to whatever protein you might be serving. With Easter this weekend, this recipe is the perfect accompany to your holiday ham and if you have leftovers this is a great veggie addition to your nourish bowls. This dish comes together quickly and does not take much effort! You won’t regret making this side dish!

Ingredients

Carrots, 3 medium or 2 large, peeled and sliced thick

1½ tbsp salted butter

1 garlic clove, grated

1 tbsp honey

1 tsp ground thyme  

Salt and pepper

Directions

Bring a medium sized pot filled with water to a boil. Once the water is boiling, add the carrots then keep to a simmer and cook until fork tender, about 8 to 10 mins.

Drain the carrots and set aside.

In a small skillet over medium heat, add the butter and garlic. Add the carrots along with the honey and thyme. Mix until a glaze forms, about 2 to 3 mins. Season with salt and pepper. Serve as a side to your main dish and enjoy!
